CI-Seminar

During the education phase we provided information about CI to science participants to enable their construction of a conceptual framework about CI and integration of those with concepts from their research area. This was accomplished through a weekly seminar on CI for both project participants and graduate students (graduate credit available). This seminar exposed participants to a range of CI topics and demonstrated ongoing projects at participating and national computing centers.

The seminar was taught virtually at five institutions using remote instructors (both computer scientists and domain scientists) from leading CI projects. It was attended by faculty and graduate students involved in the project, but was also open to other graduate students. Project participants unable to attend the seminar on campus (such as agency scientists) could participate via desktop videoconferencing. The seminar was recorded and could be downloaded and viewed later as needed.
